John Willardson
John S. Willardson is a native of Santa Monica, California and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he completed a double major in Spanish and Political Science. Following undergraduate school, he entered active duty with the U.S. Army before attending the UNC Law School. During the ensuing 30+ years, he has tried in excess of 170 cases to verdict including personal injury/wrongful death, products liability, construction, arson and commercial litigation. He has a substantial business and corporate practice and a general practice that includes wills and estates, contracts, business and commercial litigation. John is past president of the Wilkes County Bar Association and a member of the Bars of the 23rd Judicial District, U.S. District Court (Middle and Western Districts of N.C.), U.S. 4th Circuit Court of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court. From 2000-01, he served as President of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. From 2004-2007, he served as North Carolina's State Representative to the Defense Research Institute, a nationwide association of corporate and defense counsel with over 22,500 members. In October, 2007, he was elected to a three year term on the DRI Board of Directors as the Mid-Atlantic States Regional Director for North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. In December, 2009, he completed a six year term as an officer and member of the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research, a non-profit think tank based in Raleigh, N.C. that identifies public policy issues of importance to the citizens of North Carolina and publishes scholarly articles. From October, 2008-October, 2009, her served as President of the Board of Directors of the UNC Law Alumni Association and continues to serve on its Executive Committee. In January, 2007, he was honored by Business North Carolina magazine as one of North Carolina's Legal Elite in the field of litigation as chosen by his peers and in 2009, by Charlotte Magazine as one of North Carolina's Super Lawyers. John is peer review rated "A-V" by Martindale Hubbell, is fluent in Spanish and has been a certified Superior Court mediator for over 16 years.

Bill Lipscomb
William F. (Bill) Lipscomb, born Reading, Pennsylvania, August 11, 1954; admitted to bar, 1980, North Carolina. Education: Wake Forest University (B.A., 1976; J.D., 1980). Member: Wilkes County and North Carolina Bar Associations and North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys.
Bill has had a substantial civil litigation practice for 25 years, primarily in the areas of personal injury/wrongful death claims, insurance (general defense and coverage), construction cases and commercial litigation. He has tried well over 100 jury cases to verdict and practices in the State and Federal Courts throughout northwest North Carolina. While most of his clients are individual and corporate defendants, Bill also represents plaintiffs.
Bill serves on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Association Of Defense Attorneys. He has served on the Board of Directors of Wilkes ADAP (serves adults with developmental disabilities) since 1985. Bill provides pro bono legal services to Wilkes Habitat For Humanity and serves on the Session of North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church.

Sigsbee Miller
David Sigsbee Miller, born Jefferson, North Carolina, November 8, 1957; admitted to bar, 1983, North Carolina. Education: Wake Forest University (B.A., 1980; J.D., 1983). Member: Wilkes County and North Carolina Bar Association; North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys.
Sigsbee Miller has done high volume civil litigation for 22 years. He tries cases primarily in the areas of personal injury, property damage and real estate disputes. In addition, he handles residential real estate closings, prepares wills, deeds and contracts and represents clients in traffic court. Finally, he has extensive experience in the handling of worker’s compensation and State tort claim cases. Sigsbee represents individual and corporate clients, whether Plaintiff or Defendant.
